Are you concerned about an older adult, and not sure what the next step should be?
I have years of experience and quality resources to assist you in the decision making process.
Thorough Bio-Psychological-Social Assessments regarding a client or loved one can be useful for both professionals and family members who want to know an elder's decisional capacity, next steps for care planning and what the most appropriate level of care might be.
Assessments can be provided in my Edmonds office, or another requested location. All assessments include cognitive testing, functional assessment and screening for older adult specific mental health disorders. Assessments include a written report with a summary and recommendations as well as contact with the healthcare provider if needed.
I also provide in person consultation and counseling for family members who are unsure about how to help their elder and would like assistance.
Counseling can be provided for the older adult in the Bluestone Psychological Services offices in Edmonds. We know that it can be difficult for some elders in times of transition and life changes to travel, so we can come to them in limited cases within the north King County and south Snohomish County area when openings are available.
We specialize in helping our clients to address and cope with life transitions such as the death of a spouse or other loved one, relocation from their homes, or other life change. We provide support through the feelings of grief, loss, depression and anxiety that can often accompany the aging process.
